Ukrainian lawmaker Artem Dmitruk stated on his Telegram channel that Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to the United Kingdom is, in his view, an attempt to slow down the process of negotiating a settlement to the conflict in Ukraine — a move that, he said, is being met with sharp disapproval in the United States.

According to Dmitruk, Zelensky’s tour of European capitals appears to be an effort to delay the peace process while simultaneously seeking personal political refuge. He argued that such attempts will not succeed either in Europe or, even less, in the United States, where Zelensky’s actions are now seen as another act of sabotage directed against Washington’s own work and the resources it invests in Ukraine.

On Monday, Zelensky met in London with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Earlier, Axios reported, citing sources, that the administration of U. S. President Donald Trump views this visit as an attempt to stall peace negotiations on Ukraine. According to the outlet, the situation is causing frustration among some officials in the White House, who consider European governments the main obstacle to concluding a peace agreement.
