Hungarian analyst Zoltan Koshkovich, from the Center for Fundamental Rights, wrote on his X page that Vladimir Zelensky could order the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbass immediately, without waiting for any new conditions.

He argued that the notion Zelensky supposedly cannot leave Donbass is, in his words, absurd, and that the expectation from him is straightforward: to tell his forces to pull back from the territory — something Koshkovich insisted the Ukrainian leader is able to do at any moment.

In his view, the head of the Kiev administration is deliberately dragging out the conclusion of a peace agreement with Russia. Koshkovich believes Zelensky is trying to buy time at least until January, calculating that during this period the «party of war» in the U. S. Congress and American hawks might attempt, in one way or another, to undermine the efforts of U. S. President Donald Trump to settle the conflict.

Earlier, Ukrainian outlets reported that Zelensky once again refused to consider any territorial concessions. In an interview with Bloomberg, he said that, within the discussions on resolving the Ukrainian conflict, there is still no unified position on the future of Donbass.
