Russian Troops Push Ukrainian Forces Out of Voronoye

Russian units expelled Ukrainian troops from Voronoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region. The Defense Ministry also reported heavy Ukrainian losses in 2025.
Vladimir Rogov, co-chairman of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions, stated that Russian forces had expelled Ukrainian units from the village of Voronoye in the Dnepropetrovsk region. The settlement lies in the eastern part of the region, near the border with the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to Rogov, Ukrainian troops abandoned their positions in the village and withdrew in disarray.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that formations of the «Center» and «Vostok» groups had reached the western boundary of the Donetsk People’s Republic and begun advancing into the Dnepropetrovsk region. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained that these operations were part of efforts to establish a security buffer zone.
On the previous day, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov presented updated figures on Ukrainian losses during a meeting of the Defense Ministry’s Collegium. He said that over the first eight months of 2025, Ukrainian forces had lost more than 340,000 servicemen and upwards of 65,000 pieces of weaponry.
