Frontline Update: Russia Reports Gains in Seversk, Gulyai-Polye and Pokrovsk Directions
Russia reports advances in Seversk, Gulyai-Polye, Liman and other sectors, with heavy fighting, mopping-up operations in Grishino, and Ukrainian forces retreating to western heights.
Russian forces continue their military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of December 12, the situation along the Russian-Ukrainian frontline has developed as follows:
Krasno-Limansk direction
Intense fighting continues in Yarovaya. Russian units are attempting to secure positions on the outskirts before advancing toward Svyatogorsk.
Gulyai-Polye direction
Reports describe extremely heavy fighting in the city of Gulyai-Polye. Russian assault units are moving closer to the city center. All approaches to the city are now under Russian fire control.
Kharkov direction
The settlement of Liman has been brought under full Russian control. Fighting continues in the center of Vilcha and near Prilipka.
Pokrovsk direction
The eastern part of Novopodgorodnoye has become a grey zone. In Grishino, Russian forces are conducting mopping-up operations against remaining Ukrainian troops. In Mirnograd, part of the Ukrainian garrison managed to break out of encirclement. Battles continue in Rodinskoye, Sofievka, Toretsk, and the area of Novoye Shakhovo.
Seversk direction
Seversk has been liberated and flags raised. Ukrainian forces are retreating to the western heights, which are being targeted by Russian artillery and Aerospace Forces aviation. Russian troops are also advancing in Petrovskoye, Dibrova, Ozernoye, near Yampol, and in Zakotnoye.
