Russia Reports 90 Ukrainian Drones Shot Down in Overnight Strikes
Russia says its air defenses downed 90 Ukrainian drones overnight, with most intercepted over Bryansk, plus 17 more destroyed during an earlier evening wave.
Russian air-defense units reported another intense night of drone interceptions, shooting down 90 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs, according to the Ministry of Defense.
The Bryansk region once again absorbed the heaviest pressure: 63 drones were knocked out over the area. Further north, air defenses downed eight UAVs in the skies above Yaroslavl.
In the Moscow region, four drones were neutralized. Additional interceptions were recorded across several territories — three each over Smolensk and Tver, as well as three above the Black Sea.
Smaller groups of drones were taken out elsewhere: two over Tambov and two over Tula, while single UAVs were destroyed over the Oryol and Rostov regions.
The ministry also detailed a separate wave of activity earlier in the evening of 11 December, between 20:00 and 23:00 Moscow time, when air-defense crews brought down 17 Ukrainian drones. The bulk of them — 15 UAVs — were intercepted over Bryansk, with two additional drones downed in the Rostov region.
