Russian Air Defenses Destroy 41 Ukrainian Drones Overnight in Multiple Regions
Russia reports 41 Ukrainian drones shot down overnight across Saratov, Voronezh, Rostov, Belgorod, Crimea and Volgograd, with retaliatory strikes targeting only military facilities.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that air-defense units shot down 41 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight. According to the ministry’s briefing, all targets were intercepted and destroyed by on-duty air-defense systems.
The military specified the locations of the downed drones:
twenty eight over Saratov Region;
four each over Voronezh and Rostov Regions;
two over Belgorod Region and Crimea;
one over Volgograd Region.
The Defense Ministry added that, in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure, Russian forces are striking exclusively military facilities and Ukrainian defense-industry sites using high-precision air-, sea- and land-based weapons, as well as drones.
