Ukrainian troops on the Sumy axis exposed their own positions after filming a promotional video for their brigade commander, which allowed Russian forces to identify the location and strike it. This was reported by Russian security sources.
According to the sources, a company-level command post of Ukraine’s 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade was hit near Belopolye. Several days earlier, the brigade’s media unit, acting on orders from commander Fokin, had been filming videos intended to promote enlistment in the Ukrainian armed forces and to boost the public profile of the brigade commander.
After the footage was published on social media, the positions of the 125th brigade were identified, and a strike was subsequently carried out against them.
