Russia’s Defense Ministry said that during the night, air defense systems shot down 235 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions.

According to the ministry, between 23:00 on 13 December and 07:00 Moscow time on 14 December, on-duty air defense assets intercepted and destroyed 141 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

The military clarified that the largest number of drones was downed over Bryansk Region, where 35 UAVs were destroyed. Another 32 were shot down over Crimea, 22 over Krasnodar Territory, 15 over Tula Region and 13 over Kaluga Region. Seven drones were intercepted over Kursk Region, four each over Ryazan and Rostov regions, three over Belgorod Region and two over Leningrad Region. In addition, one drone was destroyed in the skies over each of Smolensk, Pskov and Novgorod regions, and one more over the Moscow Region.

Belgorod Region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that in the village of Yasnye Zori a Ukrainian drone attacked a private residential house, wounding a civilian. He specified that the man, who sustained a blast injury and multiple shrapnel wounds to his legs, was taken to hospital.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency also reported that on the night of Sunday, temporary restrictions on departures were introduced at Pulkovo Airport following a warning about a possible drone attack in Leningrad Region.
