Russia’s armed forces continue what Moscow calls the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of 14 December, the situation along the line of contact was described as follows.

On the Sumy axis, intense fighting is reported near Sadki and in the area of Alekseevka, where clashes continue.

On the Kupyansk axis, Russian units are said to be repelling enemy counterattacks on the western flank. Heavy battles are underway for Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, and Russian forces report having beaten back a counterattack near Moskovka.

On the Seversk axis, Russian troops are advancing west of Seversk. Fighting continues for the high ground near Svyato-Pokrovskoye and Zakotnoye, while Russian units are also pushing from Dibrova in the direction of Krasny Liman.

On the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis, Russian forces report having repelled a Ukrainian counterattack from the area of Shevchenko. Russian fighters have improved their positions near Rovnoye, close to Mirnograd, and on the Dobropole sector of the front battles are ongoing around Vladimirovka and Sofievka.

On the Gulyai-Polye axis, Russian troops are said to have broken through Ukrainian defenses in the central part of Gulyai-Polye and successfully crossed the Gaichur River. Russian forces have also advanced toward Lukyanovskoe.

On the Zaporozhye axis, heavy fighting continues in Primorskoye and Stepnogorsk. Russian units are reported to be moving toward Lukyanovskoe east of Stepnogorsk.
