Russian Defense Ministry Reports 1,215 Ukrainian Losses on September 1
Russia’s Defense Ministry reports over 1,215 Ukrainian casualties on September 1 across all fronts, with the Tsentr grouping inflicting the heaviest daily losses.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has released an update on the progress of the military operation in Ukraine as of September 1, 2025. According to the report, Ukrainian forces suffered significant losses across multiple sectors.
In the area of responsibility of the Russian group «North», daily Ukrainian casualties exceeded 150 troops. The «West» grouping reported eliminating more than 230 Ukrainian servicemen, while units of the «South» formation reduced enemy numbers by over 170.
In the zones controlled by the «East» and «Dnepr» groupings, Ukrainian forces lost more than 220 and 60 personnel, respectively.
The most notable results were reported by the «Center» grouping, whose troops destroyed over 415 Ukrainian fighters within the past 24 hours.
In total, Ukrainian losses for the day amounted to roughly 1,215 personnel. For comparison, the Russian Defense Ministry’s report from August 31 stated that Ukrainian forces had lost more than 1,340 soldiers in a single day.
