According to the Ukrainian analytical platform Deep State, Russian forces now control around one-fifth of Ukraine’s entire territory.

The outlet reported that by the end of last month, the share of land held by the Russian Armed Forces had reached 19 percent of the country’s total area. In August alone, Moscow’s troops reportedly expanded their control by an additional 464 square kilometers.

Further details from the Telegram channel «Karta SVO. Glavnoe» indicate that over the summer, Russian units established control over 83 settlements within the zone of the special military operation. The largest number of these newly seized localities was located in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The figures underscore the steady pace of territorial gains reported in recent months, with particular emphasis on advances in Donbass.
