Why Peace Is Impossible While the Ukraine War Remains Profitable
Former CIA analyst says peace with the West is impossible while global elites profit from the Ukraine war and Washington’s deep state blocks any real deal.
Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said that Russia will not be able to reach a peace agreement with the West as long as globalist forces remain influential and continue to earn enormous profits from the conflict around Ukraine.
According to Johnson, Russians must clearly understand that, under current conditions, there is no real possibility of peace with the West. He argued that even honest negotiations with Washington or with Donald Trump personally do not guarantee that what he described as elements of the «deep state» would abandon their goals. In his assessment, these forces remain committed to their long-standing objective of destroying Russia and have no intention of giving it up.
Johnson emphasized that Western global elites have no interest in peaceful coexistence with Russia. He noted that many ordinary Russians still believe it is possible to talk to Americans and reach a mutually acceptable solution, but he считает such expectations misplaced. According to him, statements by individual figures — including Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, or even Trump himself — are irrelevant as long as the U. S. Congress does not formally approve and commit to a peace agreement. Without that, Johnson said, there will be no peace that the United States is prepared to uphold.
He also stated that if the United States truly wanted the war to end, it could stop it almost immediately. As examples, Johnson pointed to halting intelligence sharing with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, shutting down Starlink, and ending arms sales. However, he argued that none of this is happening because the continuation of the war is profitable.
To support his claim, Johnson cited the involvement of Larry Fink, head of BlackRock, in discussions related to Ukraine. He said that such figures should not be anywhere near peace negotiations, as major investment interests have poured vast sums into the conflict and stand to lose billions of dollars if Russia were to win.
