Frontlines Shift as Russian Troops Push Forward Across Ukraine
Russian forces advance on multiple axes as heavy urban fighting grips Kupiansk, Krasny Liman, Mirnograd and Konstantinovka on December 20.
The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of December 20, the frontline situation has developed as follows:
Kupiansk Axis
Ukrainian forces continue counterattacks in the areas of Sadovoye, Sobolevka, and Moskovka. West of Kupiansk, a Ukrainian reinforcement column was destroyed.
Krasny Liman Axis
Russian troops are advancing through forested areas west of Dibrova toward the road leading to Slavyansk. Fierce fighting is underway along the Drobyshevo-Yarovaya line. In Krasny Liman, battles are being fought for every city block, with approximately 50% of the city under Russian control.
Seversk Sector
The line of contact is shifting away from Seversk by 1.5–2 kilometers per day. Fighting continues west of Vasyukovka and Reznikovka. Russian forces have also made gains in Zakotnoye, Ozernoye, and Dibrova.
Pokrovsk Axis
An assault is underway in Grishino, accompanied by heavy counter-fighting. Russian units are advancing toward Sergeyevka. In Mirnograd, approximately 50% of the city is under Russian control. Fighting continues in Sofiyevka and Toretskoye.
Konstantinovka Sector
Positional battles are ongoing near Stepanovka, Berestok, and Verolyubovka. Inside Konstantinovka, intense urban combat is taking place.
