27 Ukrainian Drones Destroyed as Night Attack Is Repelled
Russian air defenses destroyed 27 Ukrainian drones overnight across several regions, intercepting UAVs over Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk and other areas.
During the night, Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 27 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over several regions of Russia, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday.
According to the ministry, ten drones were shot down over Belgorod Region and another ten over Voronezh Region. Two UAVs were intercepted over Kursk Region, two over Lipetsk Region, and two over the Sea of Azov. One drone was destroyed over Bryansk Region.
The Defense Ministry noted that Ukrainian forces carry out daily drone attacks targeting civilian, infrastructure, energy, and industrial facilities across Russian territory. Russian air defense systems, the ministry said, promptly detect threats and destroy the vast majority of incoming aerial targets.
In response to these attacks, the Russian military continues to conduct systematic precision strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure, communications facilities, defense industry enterprises and workshops, weapons and ammunition depots, command centers, as well as locations where Ukrainian military units and foreign mercenaries are deployed.
