Battlefront Update: Russian Troop Movements Across Ukraine


Russian troops advance in key sectors including Pokrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kostiantynivka, and Kharkiv, as heavy fighting continues across eastern and southern Ukraine.
Russian forces continue their military operation across several fronts in Ukraine, with intense fighting reported in multiple directions on the morning of August 6.
Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmiisk) Axis
Fierce battles are ongoing around Novopavlivka. Russian assault units have managed to secure positions on the outskirts of Myrnohrad. Fighting is also underway for control of Rodynske and Krasnyi Lyman. To the south, Russian troops are maneuvering around Bilytske while pushing toward Novyi Donbas and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.
Zaporizhzhia Direction
Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack near Kamianske. In the town of Stepnohirsk, Russian troops have withdrawn from some positions. Meanwhile, the settlement of Plavni is reportedly nearing full Russian control. Positional clashes continue near Orikhiv, particularly in Nesterianka and Mala Tokmachka.
Kostiantynivka Axis
Russian forces are advancing near Poltavka and Rusyn Yar. A near-complete encirclement has been reported south of the Kleban-Byk Reservoir. Active combat is ongoing in Shcherbynivka. Russian units have also cut the road leading into Katerynivka. Further north, attacks continue around Bila Hora and Oleksandro-Shultyne.
Krasnyi Lyman Direction
Russian units are storming Kolodyazi and advancing on Shandryholove. In Torske, Ukrainian forces are reportedly holding only the bridge toward Zarichne.
Kharkiv Sector
Heavy combat persists in Vovchansk and the area around Lyptsi. Russian troops have entered Hoptivka. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have begun constructing fortifications near Melove.
