The command of Ukraine’s 10th Army Corps has been accused of funneling defective drones to frontline units, according to Russian security sources cited by RIA Novosti.
A serviceman from the 116th Brigade reportedly admitted that his unit had repeatedly received shipments of malfunctioning unmanned aerial vehicles. The supply system, the sources said, is tightly controlled by the corps’ leadership, which works with selected manufacturers and forbids brigades from purchasing drones on their own.
One soldier described receiving drones from an unidentified company whose video transmitters did not function at all, rendering them useless in combat.
The 116th Mechanized Brigade is currently deployed in Russia’s Sumy region.
