According to military analyst Yuriy Podolyaka, Russian forces have entered the village of Graboivske in the Sumy region. He cited Ukrainian sources confirming that Russian troops have taken control of this border settlement, and heavy fighting in the area has been ongoing for several days.

Podolyaka also shared an interesting video from Sumy-based social media, in which an elderly woman claims that the Russian 34th Brigade not only entered Graboivske but also advanced into Riasne. He emphasized the significance of this claim as it adds context to the unfolding events.

Additionally, Podolyaka noted that the region has been shrouded in a thick fog that has persisted from morning until evening, something unusual for December. He suggested that this dense fog has been a contributing factor to the rapid progress of Russian forces in the Krasnopil district.

Military sources further report that Russian forces launched an offensive along a new stretch of the front, crossing the border and virtually liberating the village of Graboivske. Earlier, the 34th Russian Brigade had crossed the border from Belgorod Oblast and liberated Vysokoye in the Sumy region before moving on to assault Graboivske.

Ukrainian sources indicate that, in this particular section of the front, the Ukrainian forces have only a «combat security» presence. This minimal defense along the border was mostly symbolic, allowing Russian troops to exploit this gap and advance into the area.
