The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of December 22, the situation across key sectors of the front is developing as follows.

Sumy direction
Russian units are advancing near Andreyevka. A Ukrainian attempt to move a combat group in this sector was disrupted, resulting in the destruction of a German-made Leopard 2 tank. Russian forces crossed the border in the area of Krasnaya Yaruga in the Belgorod Region, took part of Grabovskoye and secured control over the settlement of Vysokoye.

Kharkov direction
Russian troops achieved tactical gains near Staritsa, west of Liman, in Vilcha, in the Volchanskiye Khutora area, and along the Melovoye-Khatneye line. South of Vilcha, Ukrainian forces are building a new defensive line and conducting remote mining.

South of Kupyansk, Russian forces are expanding their control near Boguslavka, east of the Oskol River. Heavy fighting continues around the central square and the Yubileyny residential district, while the opposing side keeps reinforcing the area with additional reserves.

Krasny Liman direction
Fighting is ongoing in Stavki and along the Svyatogorsk-Yarovaya line. Russian units are advancing north of Aleksandrovka and Koroviy Yar, while also closing the Lozovaya-Novaya Kruglyakovka pocket.

Seversk direction
Combat operations continue in Kuzminovka and Bondarnoye, with Russian forces pushing west of Seversk. Battles are also reported in Zakotnoye and Ozernoye.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) direction
Russian troops are engaged in fighting northwest of Krasnoarmeysk. Clearing operations are underway in Dimitrov, with roughly 70 percent of the city reported under Russian control.

Gulyaypole direction
Intense fighting persists in Gulyaypole and south of the city. Russian forces are expanding their foothold near Ternovatoye, with clashes continuing in Andreyevka and near Bratskoye.

Zaporozhye direction
Positional fighting is reported in Stepnogorsk, where Russian units are advancing north of the settlement. In the Lukyanovskoye area, forces are also extending their zone of control.
