Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga has said that President Vladimir Zelensky is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and that potential venues for the talks have already been identified.

According to Sibiga, Austria, the Vatican, Turkey, Switzerland, and three Gulf states have expressed readiness to host such negotiations.

Earlier this week, President Putin remarked that if Zelensky truly intends to engage in direct dialogue, he could come to Moscow.

U. S. President Donald Trump recently confirmed that preparations for a Putin-Zelensky meeting are underway, adding that a trilateral format involving Washington might follow.

Yury Ushakov, Putin’s aide on international affairs, reported that during a phone conversation the Russian and U.S. leaders agreed on the importance of continuing direct dialogue between Moscow and Kiev’s delegations. He added that both sides had also discussed raising the level of representation to allow for more substantive negotiations.
