Russian Troops Advance in Kupyansk and Strengthen Positions in Donbass

Russian forces gained ground near Kupyansk, Chervonaya Dibrova, and Torskoye, consolidating control in Lugansk and Donetsk. Up to 15% of Kupyansk now under their control.
Russian forces have expanded their foothold across several fronts, consolidating gains and advancing into new positions, according to military analyst Andrey Marochko, who cited reconnaissance data.
In the Lugansk People’s Republic, troops secured new ground southwest of Chervonaya Dibrova. Meanwhile, near Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the line of contact was straightened. Additional progress was reported in the Serebryanskoye forestry, where about three hectares came under Russian control, and north of Grigorovka, where nearly five hectares of woodland were seized.
Marochko noted that advances were also recorded around Kupyansk in the Kharkov region. Russian units entrenched themselves on the city’s northern outskirts and pushed forward in the south. He estimated that up to 15 percent of the city is now under full Russian control.
Roughly a quarter of Kupyansk remains a contested «gray zone," but, according to Marochko, this area is shrinking as Russian forces continue to press their offensive.
