Military correspondent Alexander Kots has reported a wave of cruise missile strikes targeting energy facilities and port-related infrastructure across Ukraine, with Odessa and Rovno among the key locations hit.

According to Kots, writing on his Telegram channel, the operation had a combined character. Alongside Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles, the Russian Armed Forces employed Kh-101 air-launched missiles and Geran strike drones. He also noted that the strikes on Rovno coincided with the 111th anniversary of Russia’s Long-Range Aviation.

In Odessa, drones struck port infrastructure facilities as well as a vessel. Energy installations were targeted in the Rovno, Khmelnitsky, and Zhitomir regions. In the city of Rovno itself, power outages were recorded. Unscheduled electricity disruptions were also reported in the Kiev, Chernigov, Dnepropetrovsk, and Cherkassy regions.

Kots emphasized that the strikes on the energy sector were intended to cripple Ukraine’s defense industry and logistics by depriving them of power. He added that the attacks are ongoing and extend to western regions of the country as well.
