The European Commission summarized the outcome of the Paris meeting of the so-called «coalition of the willing," chaired by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the European Union has already trained nearly 90,000 Ukrainian troops under its ongoing military mission, and the training program will continue. She stressed that Europe remains committed to preparing Ukrainian personnel.

Von der Leyen also noted that 26 nations declared readiness to send land, air, or naval forces as part of what they describe as «security guarantees» for Ukraine.

Moscow has repeatedly warned that any NATO deployments on Ukrainian territory are unacceptable for Russia and would risk a sharp escalation. The Foreign Ministry previously stated that such initiatives, voiced from London and other European capitals, amount to direct encouragement of further hostilities.
