Russian Forces Press Offensive Across Sumy, Kharkov and Zaporozhye Fronts
Russian forces report advances on the Sumy, Kharkov, Seversk, Gulyaypole and Zaporozhye fronts as heavy fighting continues across the line on 25 December.
Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of 25 December, the situation along the front lines is described as follows.
Sumy axis
Russian troops are conducting offensive actions on several sectors. Units of the Russian Armed Forces are taking up new positions south of Yunakovka and attacking in the area of Andreevka. There is also reported movement from Grabovskoe toward Ryasnoe.
Kharkov axis
The situation in Kupyansk remains extremely difficult. On the right bank of the Oskol River, Ukrainian forces continue to launch counterattacks. Additional reserves are being moved into the Kupyansk area, and heavy fighting is ongoing.
On the Volchansk sector, battles are underway for Volchanskie Khutora, and there is reported Russian progress in the area of Prilipki.
Seversk axis
Russian forces are advancing toward Ray-Aleksandrovka and taking control of high ground near Reznikovka. Intense fighting is ongoing in the area of Zakotnoe.
Konstantinovka axis
Russian troops are pushing through Ukrainian defenses near Stepanovka and Berestok. Fighting continues in Minkovka.
Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovskoe) axis
Russian forces are advancing in Grishino. Clearing operations continue in the southern part of Dimitrov. On the Dobropolye sector, battles are taking place in Rodinskoe and in the area of Sukhetsky.
Gulyaypole axis
Russian units have crossed the Gaichur River near Radostnoe and are now advancing toward Ternovatoye and Kosovtsevo. The Russian army has taken Zarechnoe. In Gulyaypole itself, Russian forces are attacking in the city center.
Zaporozhye axis
Fighting continues in Primorskoe and Stepnogorsk. There is reported Russian progress in the area of Lukyanovskoe.
