Russian forces struck a major Ukrainian logistics hub in Kremenchug, Poltava region, according to Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev underground. He specified that the target was the Kryukovsky Bridge.

Lebedev explained that the bridge served as a critical transport artery, carrying both a railway line and a highway. He noted that in the past week alone, up to 18 military supply trains crossed the bridge every day.

Military sources pointed out that the Kryukovsky Bridge links the two banks of the Dnieper. On the right bank lie a key railway junction and several large factories, including a steel plant and a railcar manufacturer. On the left bank sits the Kremenchug oil refinery.

While the strike did not bring down the bridge, its destruction could have caused resource shortages along several directions. Still, Russian forces achieved an interim goal: the bridge will remain closed for repairs for several days.
