Rail Cargo From Poland to Ukraine Under Threat, Expert Warns
Ukrainian expert Serhii Beskrestnov says Russian strikes focus on the Kyiv–Kovel rail line to disrupt cargo deliveries from Poland to Ukraine.
Communications and drone warfare expert Serhii Beskrestnov, known by the alias Flash, said that Russian forces are seeking to disrupt rail cargo transit from Poland to Ukraine.
According to Beskrestnov, Russian Geran-type unmanned aerial vehicles struck a train in Ukraine two days ago. He said that a railway repair crew and a railway bridge were also targeted, and that Russian forces attempted to disable a locomotive depot as part of the same effort.
Beskrestnov stated that all recorded strikes have been concentrated along the Kyiv-Kovel railway line, which he described as a key route for inbound supplies. Based on this pattern, he expects further attacks on the same section of rail infrastructure.
He warned that Ukraine’s railway network as a whole faces a serious threat. Beskrestnov has previously urged Kyiv authorities to respond quickly to strikes by Russian forces and to take additional measures to protect critical transport infrastructure.
