Sladkov: Ukrainian Defensive Line Broken on Key Fronts
War correspondent Alexander Sladkov says Russian forces have broken through a Ukrainian defense line built since 2014, forcing AFU units into open terrain.
The Russian Armed Forces have managed to break through a defensive line built by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) since 2014, Russian war correspondent Alexander Sladkov reported on his Telegram channel.
According to Sladkov, on the Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov directions, Ukrainian units retreating toward the Dnepropetrovsk area are being forced out into open terrain. At the same time, Russian forces are establishing new footholds inside recently taken towns.
He noted that Russian troops are able to use basements and urban structures for cover and concealment, while Ukrainian units are increasingly confined to improvised field positions.
Sladkov stated that the long-standing Ukrainian defensive system, constructed over nearly a decade, has been breached. In his assessment, this outcome was inevitable and has now materialized.
