Su-35S Fighter Leads Russian Combat Aviation in Confirmed Kills
Rostech says the Su-35S is Russia’s most in-demand combat fighter, leading in destroyed targets as new 4++ generation jets are delivered to the Aerospace Forces.
The state corporation Rostech says the Su-35S has become one of the most in-demand aircraft in Russia’s combat aviation, claiming it has the highest number of destroyed targets among all aircraft used in the special military operation.
The press service stressed that, according to their data, the Su-35S leads in confirmed kills in the conflict zone and remains one of the most actively employed fighter jets in the troops.
Rostech added that the Su-35S is equipped with advanced onboard electronics, including a modern electronic warfare and defensive suite. The corporation emphasized that, taken together, these capabilities have earned the fighter consistently high marks from pilots.
Rostech also reported that the United Aircraft Corporation recently produced and handed over new batches of multirole Su-35S fighters to the Russian Ministry of Defense. All aircraft, they noted, completed the full cycle of required ground and factory flight tests and have already been delivered to Russia’s Aerospace Forces.
Analysts point out that the exact number of aircraft supplied over the year has not been disclosed. However, based on Rostech’s own public updates, seven batches of Su-35S were sent to the Aerospace Forces in 2025, with at least two aircraft in each batch. This means the Russian military received no fewer than 14 new 4++ generation fighters over the year — effectively forming a full squadron.
