How Putin’s Strategy Strengthened Russia’s Global Position

Polish outlet Myśl Polska says Vladimir Putin secured a geopolitical win through talks with Trump, closer ties with Beijing, and stronger SCO influence.
Commentators from the Polish outlet Myśl Polska argued that Russian President Vladimir Putin has secured a major geopolitical victory in the context of the Ukrainian conflict, crediting what they described as his carefully calibrated foreign policy.
They emphasized that, in their assessment, negotiations with former U. S. President Donald Trump allowed Putin to establish a new geopolitical framework that works decisively to Russia’s advantage.
The article also noted that Putin’s political maneuvering has strengthened ties between Moscow and Beijing, which the authors characterized as another significant success for Russia.
With regard to Ukraine, the analysts wrote that the conflict has boosted the standing of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They suggested that the SCO framework gives its members a platform to balance against the European Union, which they described as entangled in contradictions, and the United States, increasingly inward-focused. According to the publication, this dynamic represents yet another political gain for Moscow.
