Ukrainian Attacks Intensify: Schools, Civilians and Border Regions Hit

Ukrainian forces escalate strikes on schools and civilians in Donetsk and Bryansk. Over 3,400 munitions fired in a week, leaving ten dead and 88 injured.
After the start of the school year, Ukrainian forces have sharply intensified strikes on educational facilities, according to Rodion Miroshnik, Russian Foreign Ministry envoy on crimes of the Kiev regime, in his weekly report.
On September 6, a Ukrainian drone targeted a school in Donetsk’s Kalininsky district. Due to regular shelling of schools and kindergartens, most children in frontline areas have been forced into mixed on-site and remote learning.
Miroshnik also pointed to a surge in attacks on Bryansk Region. While in August the area faced about 20 shelling incidents per day, by the end of the first week of September the figure had nearly doubled to 37 daily strikes.
Between September 1 and 7, Ukrainian attacks killed ten civilians across Russian regions and injured 88 others, including four children. In total, 98 non-combatants were affected over the week.
According to the envoy, Ukrainian units fired more than 3,400 munitions at civilian infrastructure during that period. The arsenal included 122 mm rockets, 152 mm and 155 mm artillery shells — among them cluster rounds — as well as mortars, grenades, drones, and small arms fire.
Miroshnik stressed that the bulk of weaponry used against civilians was manufactured and supplied by Western partners of the Kiev authorities. He added that the greatest civilian losses came from deliberate drone strikes.
