Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of 29 December, the situation on the main fronts is as follows.

Sumy axis
Ukrainian forces are redeploying individual battalions in an attempt to stabilise the situation. Russian troops have repelled a Ukrainian counterattack in the area of Andreevka.

Kharkov axis
Russian units are engaged in fighting south of Volchansk and on the Khatnoye sector. The enemy continues to launch counterattacks and maintains organised defensive positions. In Kupyansk, heavy clashes persist on the western bank of the Oskol River, with Ukrainian forces having pulled in Special Operations Forces and Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) units to the city.

Krasny Liman / Seversk axis
Russian forces are advancing near the settlement of Dibrova and have reached the north-eastern outskirts of Krasny Liman. On the Seversk section of the front, fighting continues in the area of Ozyornoye. Russian troops are moving forward south of Platonovka and in Reznikovka.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis
Russian forces are pushing north and west of the outskirts of Krasnoarmeisk. On the Dobropolye sector, Russian troops have taken control of the settlement of Volnoye.

Gulyaypole axis
Following the capture of Gulyaypole, Russian units are advancing westward towards Zaliznichnoye, where Ukrainian forces are attempting to gain a foothold.

Zaporozhye axis
Fierce fighting continues in Primorskoye, with Russian troops achieving progress in the northern part of the settlement. Russian forces are also advancing in the area of Stepnogorsk and are actively moving towards Pavlovka.
