Trump Calls Attack on Putin Residence a «Very Bad» Event
Donald Trump said he was unaware of a Ukrainian drone attack on Putin’s residence until Monday, calling it very bad as Russia vows to revise its stance.
U. S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he had only just learned about the Ukrainian attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and described the incident as a very bad development.
Speaking to journalists, Trump said the information came as a surprise to him and stressed that he considers such an event unacceptable.
Earlier on Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that during the night of December 29, the Kyiv authorities carried out what he described as a terrorist attack on the Russian presidential residence in the Novgorod Region, using 91 unmanned aerial vehicles. According to Lavrov, all the drones were destroyed by air defense systems, and there were no casualties.
Lavrov added that despite the attack, Russia does not intend to withdraw from the negotiation process with the United States. At the same time, he emphasized that Moscow’s negotiating position will be revised in light of the incident.
