Russian State Duma lawmaker Andrey Kartapolov said that the Russian Armed Forces will not strike the apartment of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He made the remarks while commenting on possible retaliatory actions, according to a report cited by the Telegram channel Daily Storm.

Kartapolov explained that Zelensky’s apartment should remain intact because, in his view, it should be preserved for historical purposes. He said it should remain as evidence to later show the public how, as he put it, the current Kyiv leader lived.

At the same time, the lawmaker stated that the targets of a retaliatory strike in response to the attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin have already been identified, but said it would be premature to disclose them.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that between December 28 and 29, air defense systems repelled an attack involving 91 Ukrainian strike drones targeting a state residence of President Putin in the Novgorod Region.
