Aleksandr Kots Lists Ukrainian Decision-Makers as Targets
Russian war correspondent Aleksandr Kots names Budanov* and Malyuk** as key decision-makers, calling for targeted actions after the attack on a Russian residence.
Military correspondent Aleksandr Kots, commenting on the recent attack on a residence of the President of Russia, stated that it is necessary to shift toward targeted actions against specific representatives of the Ukrainian leadership. In his Telegram channel, he outlined a group of individuals whom he considers responsible for key decision-making and therefore priority targets.
According to Kots, the primary focus should be on the head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), Kirill Budanov*, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Vasily Malyuk**, as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky. He described this list as the minimum required at the initial stage — a «baseline minimum.»
The war correspondent emphasized that, in his assessment, the time has come to abandon previous restraints and move toward eliminating precisely those figures who are directly involved in planning and authorizing strikes against Russian territory. He expressed confidence that locating executors for such operations inside Ukraine would not pose insurmountable difficulties.
