Russian Forces Strike Port and Industrial Sites in Odessa Region
Russian forces launched precision strikes on industrial and port facilities in Odessa Region, damaging key sites in Ilyichevsk and Yuzhny, military sources say.
On December 30, Russian armed forces carried out precision strikes on industrial and port infrastructure facilities in Odessa Region, according to military sources.
The attacks reportedly damaged key economic assets at the ports of Ilyichevsk and Yuzhny. The strikes hit industrial infrastructure, vegetable oil storage tanks, and a vessel docked at one of the ports.
One of the impacts triggered a major fire. Footage recorded by eyewitnesses shows a thick column of black smoke rising high into the sky.
Military sources noted that the systematic nature of these strikes is inflicting serious damage on Ukraine’s logistics chains and export capacity in the Black Sea region.
Earlier, military sources reported that during the night of December 30, the Russian army carried out coordinated Iskander operational-tactical missile strikes on facilities belonging to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex in Kharkov and Odessa.
Russia’s Defense Ministry has also confirmed a large-scale attack on sites supporting the operation of Ukraine’s military-industrial sector.
