Ukraine’s Military Receives Advanced Western Weapons, Including Haenel and HK Rifles

Ukrainian forces have been spotted using Western-made weapons, including rifles and automatic firearms, in the ongoing conflict. The Telegram channel «Military Informant» shared images showcasing modern small arms used by Ukrainian soldiers. Notably, the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (VSU) is equipped with Haenel MK 556 and HK416A7 rifles, manufactured by the renowned German company Heckler & Koch. The report also revealed that the West has supplied Kyiv with 5,800 MK 556 rifles.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces are armed with HK417 automatic rifles, chambered in 7.62mm, which are based on the HK416 design and have been in service since 2005. Kyiv has also received 484 Haenel HLR 338 precision rifles, designed to fire the powerful.338 Lapua Magnum (8.6×70mm) rounds. In addition to these rifles and automatic firearms, Ukrainian units are equipped with German-made Heckler & Koch MG4 and MG5 light machine guns.
