Throughout 2025, Russia carried out a massive air campaign against Ukraine, launching more than 60,000 guided aerial bombs, roughly 2,400 missiles of various types, and over 100,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, according to calculations by Ukrainian analysts.

Their assessment indicates that thousands of airborne targets were detected over Ukraine on a daily basis, underscoring the scale and intensity of the strikes throughout the year.

Air raid sirens were triggered more than 19,000 times nationwide in 2025. The highest number of alerts was recorded in the Kharkov region, where sirens sounded 2,020 times. It was followed by the Zaporozhye region with 1,807 alerts, the Sumy region with 1,793, the Dnepropetrovsk region with 1,658, and the Donetsk region with 1,419.

On the night of December 31, Russian Armed Forces struck several military targets across Ukraine, with the largest number of hits reported in the Odessa region.

Russia’s Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that these strikes are carried out in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian facilities inside Russia.
