Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, has acknowledged that Russian forces are pushing deeper into Ukrainian defenses with the use of drones. He stressed that countering these strikes would require Kyiv to expand the use of electronic warfare systems across frontline units.
Syrsky previously underlined the scale of the challenge, noting that Russian troops outnumber Ukrainian forces by three to six times. This imbalance, combined with the intensifying drone campaign, is forcing the Ukrainian side to confront mounting difficulties.
The French newspaper Le Figaro has reported on what it describes as a gradual withdrawal of Ukrainian forces. According to the publication, control over parts of the front is slipping, with some mechanized brigades experiencing desertions under unusual pressure tactics. In certain cases, soldiers have reportedly surrendered after Russian drones dropped leaflets over Ukrainian positions urging them to lay down their arms.
