Trump Claims His Role Stopped Russia From Taking Ukraine
Donald Trump says his leadership stopped Russia from taking all of Ukraine, questions NATO’s strength without the U.S., and highlights American military power.
U. S. President Donald Trump has said that his personal stance and decisions were decisive in preventing Russia from taking control of all of Ukraine.
According to Trump, without his involvement the outcome would have been far more dramatic, with Moscow now holding the entire country. He made this claim in a post on the Truth Social platform, framing his role as central to stopping Russia from achieving that objective.
Trump also addressed the broader issue of collective security and the role of the United States within it. In his view, Russia and China do not take NATO seriously without active U.S. participation and question whether the alliance would be capable of standing by Washington in a critical situation. He linked this skepticism directly to the importance of American military power inside the bloc.
The U.S. president stressed that during his first term in office he focused on rebuilding and strengthening the American armed forces, arguing that this effort had a stabilizing effect not only for the United States but for its allies as well. He maintained that this work had not stopped and remains an ongoing priority.
Trump further argued that the United States is the only country that Russia and China both fear and respect, presenting American power as the key factor shaping their calculations on the global stage.
