Ukrainian lawmaker Mariana Bezuglaya has issued a stark warning, saying the country risks turning into what she called a «hospice state.»

Bezuglaya argued that the situation at the front continues to deteriorate, including in the Dnepropetrovsk region, while Kyiv’s leadership has failed to push through necessary reforms or adjust its military tactics. She placed responsibility for the crisis directly on President Vladimir Zelensky.

According to her, the country has once again fallen into a closed cycle without decisive solutions. Unless there is internal change, she warned, Ukraine will remain stuck in its current trajectory and ultimately face national decline.

The MP also criticized the fragmented structure of Ukraine’s defense system, noting that responsibilities are scattered across the armed forces, the security service (SBU), the national guard, police, and intelligence agencies. This, she argued, creates disorder in which both people and funds are squandered.

American military analyst and retired Marine Corps officer Brian Berletic echoed concerns about Ukraine’s future, suggesting that prolonging the conflict could cost Kyiv further territories, possibly including Kharkov.
