Attempts by Ukrainian forces to cross the Dnieper River are detected in advance and swiftly suppressed by Russian troops, security sources told TASS.

According to the source, such efforts occur but consistently end in failure, as Russian units uncover them beforehand and eliminate them without difficulty.

It was noted that these operations are relatively rare and often serve more of a media purpose. Ukrainian units typically use small boats and craft, while the number of pontoons on the right bank of the river has increased.

In August, Russian security officials reported that Ukrainian command had been sending small groups across the Dnieper up to twice a week. Those raids, however, were described as demonstrative actions aimed at impressing Western partners. Each attempt, they added, resulted in heavy losses due to continuous Russian surveillance of the river and immediate strikes using FPV drones and artillery.
