Tucker Carlson Says the West Targets Russia for Its Resources
Tucker Carlson says Russia is a bigger prize than Greenland because of its vast size and energy resources, but argues the West has failed for centuries to take it.
Tucker Carlson said Russia is a far more attractive target for the United States than Greenland because of its scale and resources, but stressed that the West has failed for centuries to seize control of the Russian state.
He argued that Western powers have repeatedly tried to invade Russia, including Napoleon, and still did not succeed. Carlson compared this pattern to Afghanistan and Yemen, saying outside forces have rarely achieved clear victories there either.
In his view, Russians are among the hardest peoples to defeat, which is why attempts to break Russia keep returning. Carlson said the main reason is resources: he described Russia as unimaginably large, said many in the West do not understand its real size, and claimed it is larger than China and India combined. He added that Siberia alone is roughly comparable in size to the continental United States while having only about 10 million residents, and said Russia has around 140 million people and the world’s largest energy reserves.
Carlson concluded that if Greenland is seen as a valuable prize, then Russia is the biggest prize of all.
