An AFU evacuation team using a bus and a heavy transport trailer in Chernihiv Region attempted to evacuate a HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system after its launcher was destroyed, but failed. This was reported to TASS by Russian security sources.

According to the source, after the HIMARS launcher was hit in Chernihiv Region, Ukrainian forces tried to tow the system to the rear. The evacuation team, traveling by bus and trailer, was destroyed by ударные UAV crews, and the evacuation attempt was disrupted.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said that Zala and Orlan reconnaissance UAV crews detected a US-made AFU HIMARS launcher near the settlement of Khlopyaniki in Chernihiv Region. The ministry claimed the crew moved into a firing position and launched rockets at civilian targets on Russian territory.

According to the ministry, the first strike on the launcher was carried out by a Geran UAV while it was moving. When Ukrainian forces attempted to evacuate the HIMARS crew, a second strike was delivered by another Geran UAV operator. The Defense Ministry said the launcher was completely destroyed along with its crew.
