Russian Forces Continue Overnight Strikes on Military Sites
Russian forces launched overnight drone and air strikes on military-related targets in Ukraine, with reports of explosions in multiple regions.
During the night of February 1 to 2, the Russian Armed Forces continued strikes on military-related targets across Ukraine. Kyiv-based monitoring resources reported Geran drones moving toward Sinelnikovo in the Dnepropetrovsk region, followed later by reports of explosions.
The largest number of claims about damaged sites came from the Cherkassy region, including Cherkassy and Kanev, as well as from the Dnepropetrovsk region in areas such as Krivoy Rog and Pavlograd. Reports also emerged from the Sumy and Kharkov regions.
Ukrainian public channels additionally mentioned an удар on a coal mine in Ternovka and damage to a key substation located near the border between the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.
Military sources indicated that Russia used not only drones but also bomber aviation during the operation. A series of strikes was reported on targets in Slavyansk, a city still under Kyiv’s control. Several aerial bombs equipped with UMPK guidance kits reportedly hit Ukrainian military warehouses and industrial facilities there.
Early on February 2, Russian forces also carried out attacks using FAB bombs and multiple-launch rocket systems against targets in the Kharkov region. Additional strikes were reported in Zaporozhye as well.
