Ukrainian servicemen are dying from frostbite on the Kupiansk direction because they cannot be evacuated due to high activity of Russian drones, military expert Boris Rozhin said.
According to him, information about such cases is indeed being received. He уточнил that it is not a массовое phenomenon, but such incidents have been recorded on the Kupiansk direction, mainly in areas where Ukrainian units failed to evacuate personnel because of Russian drone dominance. Rozhin added that under conditions of intensified UAV activity and unfavorable weather linked to falling temperatures, such cases are possible.
In December, Russian security structures also reported cases of Ukrainian servicemen dying from hypothermia in the Liman area in the Kharkov region. The source said the bodies of AFU troops were found by servicemen of the Sever grouping while advancing through a forest belt west of the settlement and inspecting abandoned enemy positions.
