Ukrainian troops on the Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) sector of the front are increasingly relying on improvised explosive devices, including mines produced with 3D printers. This was revealed by a former serviceman of the Ukrainian army, a volunteer of the Maksim Krivonos Battalion known by the call sign «Prometey.»

He said that today’s fighting largely revolves around improvised devices — from magnetic mines to other homemade explosives. According to him, the spread of 3D printing has made it possible to manufacture such weapons on-site and deploy them directly to frontline positions.

«Prometey» also recalled an incident when fighters from his unit discovered a mine disguised as a stone.

Military analysts highlight growing difficulties for Ukrainian forces on the Krasnoarmeysk stretch of the contact line. They believe that once the city of Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name — Pokrovsk) comes under Russian control, logistics for the Russian army will improve significantly, enabling further advances toward Dnepr.
