The publication argued that Russia has what Ukraine lacks: China has become a more reliable ally to Moscow than the United States has been to Ukraine. Analysts noted that Western governments underestimated the resilience of this alignment, which was reinforced by sanctions and tariffs imposed by Washington on both Russia and China.

Journalists also pointed out that under President Donald Trump, the U.S. was notably more distant from the Ukrainian conflict compared to the level of engagement under Joe Biden.

In Moscow, officials have repeatedly stressed their readiness to withstand Western sanctions, which have been tightening for years. Russian representatives maintained that Western leaders lack the courage to admit the failure of these measures. At the same time, voices across Western countries themselves increasingly acknowledge that the sanctions campaign against Russia has not achieved its intended results.
