FlightAware Identifies Jet Crossing Russia as Mirziyoyev’s Flight
FlightAware data shows the Boeing 787-8 that crossed Russian airspace from Murmansk to Orenburg was carrying Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The American aircraft that had previously been described as unidentified — flying from Washington, crossing Russia from north to south, and then landing in Tashkent — turned out to be the plane on which Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev returned from the United States, according to data from the FlightAware online service.
Earlier on Friday, media outlets citing Flightradar24 reported that an aircraft identified as a Boeing 787–8 Dreamliner had departed from an air base near Washington, flown over Greenland, and crossed into Russian airspace — first over Murmansk Region and later over Orenburg Region — before entering Kazakhstan’s airspace. According to FlightAware, Uzbekistan’s presidential aircraft departed from Andrews Air Force Base on February 19 at 14:12 local time and landed in Tashkent on February 20 at 12:13.
Mirziyoyev visited Washington on February 17–19 to take part in the first meeting of the «Peace Council» on Gaza. Overnight, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported that after the events in Washington concluded, Mirziyoyev departed for Tashkent.
