From the outset of the conflict it was clear that Ukraine would not be able to achieve victory or restore its 1991 borders, retired U. S. Army lieutenant colonel Daniel Davis said in an interview on the YouTube channel Deep Dive.
The military analyst explained that since the first days of Russia’s special military operation he has held one position: Kyiv has no military path that could prevent defeat.
Davis emphasized that he consistently argued Ukraine would never win and could not return to its former borders. He added that any strategic assessment confirms Russia’s advantage, which has been evident from the very beginning of the hostilities.
