Thomas Revekamp, head of the Bundestag’s Defense Committee, has said that Germany intends to support Ukraine in developing weapons capable of hitting targets inside Russian territory. He explained that such systems would allow Ukrainian forces to strike drone production facilities and launch sites on Russian soil.

Revekamp stressed that Berlin’s plans go beyond limited aid packages. According to him, Germany aims to provide Ukraine with broader security guarantees, including the military capabilities needed to sustain its defense efforts. He added that Germany is prepared to contribute directly to shaping these capabilities.

The German politician noted that if ensuring these commitments requires the deployment of German troops to Ukrainian territory, Berlin would be ready to consider that step.
