During the night of March 11, Ukrainian forces attempted to strike the Russkaya compressor station in the settlement of Gai-Kodzor in Krasnodar Krai using unmanned aerial vehicles, Gazprom reported.

According to the company, Russian air defenses have repelled 12 attacks on gas infrastructure facilities over the past two weeks. These facilities support fuel exports to Turkey via the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that the strike on the Russkaya station was intended to disrupt gas deliveries to European consumers. The ministry added that coordinated action by air defense units and electronic warfare systems prevented any damage to the facility.

Ukrainian drones also targeted the Beregovaya gas compressor station, but this attempt was likewise intercepted.

Commenting on the incidents, the Kremlin said that the attacks on gas infrastructure amid the energy situation revealed what it described as the nature of the Kiev regime.
